I’m a practising Economics teacher with sixteen years of classroom experience. I specise in WJEC and Eduqas and also tutor students studying Edexcel and AQA at both GCSE and A-Level.

My approach is built around genuine understanding rather than memorising isolated diagrams, definitions and model answers. I help students see the bigger picture first: why an economic concept matters, how it connects to other parts of the course, and how those ideas can then be applied effectively in an exam. Once students understand the ‘why’, the ‘what’ and ‘how’ become far easier to master.

Exam technique is a major part of my tutoring. Drawing on my experience as both a teacher and examiner, I help students understand exactly what exam questions are asking for, how to structure stronger responses, develop chains of analysis, use evaluation effectively and move into the higher mark bands. Feedback is specific and practical, so students know not simply that an answer could be better, but precisely how to improve it.

I hold a degree in Economics and have extensive experience teaching students with a wide range of abilities and starting points. Some of my students are aiming for the very highest grades; others come to me because Economics feels confusing, their confidence has slipped, or they simply cannot turn what they know into marks on the page.

I tutor students sitting GCSE and A-Level for the first time, those retaking qufications, and adults returning to study after a break. Wherever you are starting from, my aim is to help you connect ideas, think like an economist and develop the confidence and exam technique to perform at your best.
