I secured 3 A*s in Maths, Chemistry and Biology and have graduated with a first class degree in BSc Biochemistry from University College London (UCL), which is a top 10 university in the world as well as the UK. I tutor KS3, GCSE and A-Level Maths, and Chemistry. For all these subjects the board was Pearson Edexcel so I am familiar with the exams and the type of question asked.

I started my tutoring journey by volunteering at a local tuition centre aiding primary school children in maths and English, until I was offered a job as an official tutor at the centre. In the summer I secured a job at explore learning to deliver online tuition which helped develop my skills in engaging students online and differentiation strategies to adapt to the students method of learning. After achieving an A* in Maths, I was offered by my high school to aid A-Level Maths students, which I did for 3 years.

From my own experience of doing Maths, Chemistry and Biology at A-level, I understand these subjects can be difficult to grasp and apply exam questions which often are more complex. Due to doing an extensive amount of past paper questions specifically for the Edexcel board, I now know exactly what examiners are looking for and how to achieve maximum marks. I have also solidified different revision methods which work for different types of students which I will be able to offer as exam technique is vital for success. I am also familiar with the new Maths A-level having done it myself.

I know work in audit and I am a part-qualified chartered accountant.

I only do online tuition by doing handwritten notes/worked solutions and talk through them with the students. I also have access to a range of websites as well as the relevant textbooks with exam questions which I would go through with my student as knowing the exam language and understanding the mark scheme is necessary to achieve a high grade. I allow the student to decide which topics they are struggling on and tailor my approach depending on how they prefer to learn.

I can also give my notes I made as a student which still are up to date with the new GCSE/A-Level.
