Psychology is a dynamic and popular subject that is often underrated in terms of the academic intensity required. Students often feel that they don`t understand the material and a little extra support really can make all the difference. I am an experienced, friendly and successful A Level Psychology tutor with an excellent pass rate, averaging around 90% A to C grades. As a result of my intervention, many of my students have exceeded their own expectations and have been able to progress to university, often to study psychology.

I am confident in delivering both AQA and OCR specifications having taught both of these when I was employed as Subject Leader of Psychology. I develop a good rapport with students and I offer bespoke one-to-one tuition based on what individuals need. I also provide a past-paper service which has proved to be one of the best methods of improving examination skills.

I`m based in Cromer but am happy to travel a distance of 15 miles to come to you. Our first meeting would be for the purpose of identifying areas to focus on if you wish to proceed with tuition - it is a free appointment to allow us to meet in person before making any kind of commitments on each others` time.

Availability: My preferred method of tutorial is in person, however I am happy to teach via Skype and I am available from 7-9pm weekday evenings (excluding Fridays). I am always available to provide marking and feedback on past papers by email. Detailed feedback is essential to exam success, but many teachers simply don`t have the time to provide the required detail. The rate for this service is charged at £25ph.

Experience: I am an experienced private tutor with six years` experience teaching Psychology at Key Stage 5 in the state sector, and 3 years` experience tutoring privately for students from state and fee-paying schools.

I have also taught various other subjects including Media Studies and Critical Thinking (both A Level) and History (GCSE and KS3), Citizenship, PSHE (KS3 and 4) and have acted as a mentor on student EPQ projects.

Before I became a teacher I worked in corporate industry for 12 years across a range of roles including Personal Assistant and marketing positions for RAC Motoring Services and Serco Civil Government. I studied part-time for six years to gain my degree with the Open University, and trained as a teacher 4 years after I graduated.
