Information about Robert
My name is Robert and I am, and always have been, passionate about learning and teaching. I am a dad of two lively children (14 & 11), a primary teacher and a private tutor. I have a can-do approach to life and am never happier than when I am busy with my work or with my family. I play classical guitar, always have at least one book on the go, and love to walk in the countryside whenever our busy lives permit.
Availability: Depending on where my supply work is, I can usually get to a tuition venue for 4pm and work until the evening every day after school, and on Saturdays.
Willing to travel: 5 miles
Experience: As a Science teacher I revelled in the fun of delivering such a vibrant, diverse and topical subject and have been described as outstanding by Ofsted and praised for my infectious enthusiasm. Such is my love of teaching that I studied for and passed a TEFL qualification so that I could teach English as a foreign language to French people (adults and children) while living in France for 12 years. Having now returned I have resumed my teaching career but have moved into the primary years working as a supply teacher with several agencies in the local area. I deliver the complete curriculum to years 1-6. Additionally, I have several students to whom I offer private tuition teaching English and Maths up to year 6 (age 11) and General Science up to year 9 (age 14). I enjoy being able to tailor my tuition to the individual and achieve great satisfaction from seeing their progress as a result. I welcome any enquiries and will be happy to discuss how best to develop and enhance your child`s understanding of Maths, English or Science. With regards to TEFL, having lived abroad for 12 years I know just how difficult it can be to learn a second language so it is with great empathy that I approach teaching English to adult learners.

My two sons age 10 and 6 both throughly enjoy there lessons with Robert, they find Robert stimulating and fun. The school they attend have noticed new confidence shining through. Robert has made learning fun and has helped my eldest find new ways of problem solving in his Maths and English. Robert is extremely organised and I would definitely recommend him.

It was by chance that we found Robert to tutor our 9 year old daughter in Maths and English and I`m so glad we did. We`ve only had a couple of sessions so far but our daughter really looks forward to her lessons. Robert makes it fun for her and she is very excited afterwards to tell me all that she has done and learnt with him.
Robert worked with us in the beginning to figure out exactly what we needed and was very accommodating in fitting around our very busy schedules.
I can see already that we made the right choice and I`m looking forward to seeing how she will progress.
