I`m Violet and I`m a second year Natural Sciences student at St. Catharine`s College, University of Cambridge. In my first year I was taking Chemistry, Biology of Cells, Materials Science and Mathematics. I got a 2.1 in my exams, including a high 1st in Chemistry. This year I`m learning double Chemistry and Materials Science.
I have been passionate about Chemistry since I was at School - I won the first place in the National Olympiad and competed at two International Chemistry Olympiads - I was awarded a bronze medal in Moscow, Russia in 2013 and a silver medal in Hanoi, Vietnam in 2014.
While preparing for Olympiads I discovered and applied systematic learning methods that helped me succeed. I am keen on passing this knowledge and encouraging both bright students and those who struggle.

Experience: At my school, I have established extracurricular chemistry classes for younger students. For 2 years I have been demonstrating experiments and explaining best ways to solve problems, helping students prepare for exams and the Chemistry Olympiad. Thus, I am aware of best methods of teaching chemistry thoroughly by building an understanding of basic concepts and expanding onto more complex problems. I also have access to multiple books, Cambridge teaching resources and problem sheets.
I have done a lot of mock Oxbridge interviews and edited Personal Statements of applicants. Many of them go it into Oxbridge as a result.
