Information about Stephanie
I am a highly experienced trilingual Learning Support/SEN and Modern Languages teacher. I worked as a SEN specialist in both London and Thailand, and taught in a number of different educational environments, currently working as a Secondary and Primary supply teacher/ exam invigilator. I have successfully taught individuals and classes of students, from 11 to 18 years old, across a range of syllabi and using a variety of teaching and learning methods. I am greatly experienced in working closely with students with a range of specialist learning needs, whether it is EAL, SEN or Gifted and Talented learners, but also have a lot of experience in teaching whole mixed ability groups, both in these areas as well as French and Spanish. I am passionate about languages and literacy, which I particularly love teaching through scri ptwriting, creative writing activities and classroom debates.
Availability: I am currently available everyday before 3.30 but I can be very flexible with a bit of notice.
Willing to travel: 1 miles
Experience: I am currently working on a supply basis as a Science technician and exam invigilator at City Academy, a large secondary school in Hackney. I also teach French privately to a small group of Primary bilingual pupils which I find really rewarding.
My previous experiences include 20 years as a teacher of Special Needs and Modern Foreign languages in various secondary schools in East London as well as 5 years in an international British school in Bangkok as a Learning Support specialist and private tutor. My tutor role covered a wide range of literacy based subjects such as History, Theory of knowledge, Global Perspective and English.
