Information about Lauren

I have always had a keen interest in teaching. In more recent years I have been trying to gain as much experience as possible. In college, I went on a trip to Thailand to teach English to Thai students who were roughly between the ages of 6 and 10. After the trip, I began my final year of college and I volunteered at a local secondary school (Kelvin Hall) for one lesson once a week. I taught these students French, principally focusing on grammar. At university, I study English language and linguistics and French with an Elective in Spanish (for the first year). From this, I am learning applicable skills to use in my teaching such as phonology, syntax, and grammar. During the summer of 2019, I plan to do the fast track Trinity Cert TESOL course to have access to the TEFL field.
