I am a fully qualified Chemistry teacher and approved AQA examiner, working in a highly achieving grammar School in Reading.
I have taught range of students ( GCSE,A level and university) of different abilities for 12 years.
I am currently tutoring students for GCSE Sciences and A level Chemistry. As a passionate teacher, I try to make the lessons interesting and enjoyable. I emphasise on clear understanding of the subject so that students are not hesitant to attempt practice exam questions. I have ability to explain patiently until student understands the topic. Before starting a new lesson, I always give a recap of the topic covered in last lesson while going through homework to make sure that the student links the previous lesson to the next.
Being in full time teaching keeps me up-to-date with changes in specifications of GCSE and A level subjects.
I would prefer to tutor from home and online.
Group sessions (2 hours) from September 2023 are available for Year 9, 10 and 11, GCSE all Sciences at £ 12.50 per hour.
Group sessions for A level Chemistry are available for £12.50 per hour.

Availability: Weekdays evenings after 5:00 pm
Weekend all days.

Experience: All the GCSE 2018 students achieved Grade 9- 8 in Chemistry and Biology!
2021 - GCSE - Grade 8-9, A levels - B, A,A*
2020- TAGS- all 9s
2019- Grade 8-9 again !
2020- CAG - grades 8-9.
2021- massive 2 grades improvement in GCSE Chemistry between mocks and actual GCSEs, 5 to 7 and Grade 9 s !
