Information about Tim
I am a very experienced history teacher, who has successfully taught A level for 33 years. My students have been achieving on average of 76% A to B. I believe that it is vital to encourage and support the student; to show how they can effectively learn and to support them in structuring their answers, to allow them to maximise their marks.
At the moment, I am tutoring AQA, Edexcel and Cambridge exam boards, at A level, GCSE and IGCSE. I am experienced in most popular A level and GCSE units, including the AQA investigation and the Edexcel coursework.
Availability: I am available in the afternoon and early evening for tutoring, either one to one or online.

Experience: I have been a Head of History for 25 years at an outstanding secondary school in West London. I have successfully taught A level History for 33 years. I have a wide historical knowledge and I have taught a variety of topics.
I am an experienced examiner, working for both AQA and Edexcel. As part of my role, I have been closely involved in both the A level and GCSE curriculum changes and I am very familiar with the requirements of the modern syllabi.

My son is really engaged with his A-Level revision with Tim and really respects his delivery and insight. Tim is taking his critical thinking to a much higher level and he likes and respects Tim and his considered feedback. I feel secure in the knowledge that he is getting to grips with his weaker areas of A Level history to make his knowledge more robust on detailed dates and critical thinking.

Tim helped me to structure my ALevel History NDA and to think about the content and how I could enhance it. It was a really useful exercise and helped me hone my knowledge.
