I am a qualified primary school teacher with fifteen years experience. I am currently taking time out of full time teaching, to look after my son.
I am a reliable, calm and friendly person. I am a firm believer that learning is only possible when children enjoy it and are actively involved, as such my lessons are fun, often game based and tailored to the individual learning style.

Availability: Weekday home schooling during school hours, weekday after school and evenings.

Experience: I have taught in KS2, KS1 and the EYFS and held the position of EYFS Leader in an Ofsted rated Outstanding school. I have experience of delivering KS1 SATs and the Year 1 Phonics Screening Check and have an up-to-date knowledge of and training in the current National Curriculum. I have experience of teaching children with a range of special needs and have also trained as a `Phonics Counts` teacher, delivering targeted 1:1 sessions to children requiring additional support in Phonics. I have taught a number of children for whom English is an additional language, including those who were at a very early stage of learning the language. I have tutored children on a 1:1 basis in person and online for nearly four years.
I obtained my undergraduate degree and PGCE from the University of Exeter.
