I am a fully trained teacher offering English and Maths at Key Stage 1 and 2.
I prepare children for SATs and Phonics tests as well as helping them to meet their full potential in the classroom.
My students enjoy my relaxed yet professional lessons.
I build confidence by ensuring that students fully understand what they are learning.
Parents have reported marked improvement in their children`s performance with most exceeding expectations.
I can also offer English as a foreign language to adult learners.
Availability: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday or by arrangement.

Experience: I have 30 years` experience of teaching one to one, helping people of all ages from six years old to adult.
I have helped children to improve their grades both in the classroom and in official SATs and Phonics tests.
Recently I have been enjoying using online systems to teach students unable to meet face to face.
As well as teaching, I have professional experience also in translating.

Our son really enjoys his maths and English lessons with Gurinder. He is fully engaged and at 6years old this is no mean feat! He has come on leaps and bounds at school noticed by all involved in his education and his passion for learning has well and truly been lit! We wanted to encourage our son to enjoy learning as the last two years have been rocky for all our kids and for his age it was the foundation blocks that were lacking. We are lucky to have found Gurinder as she has built his confidence which for our son was the key to shifting his thinking from one of `having to learn` to a `desire` to learn.

So pleased with finding Gurinder through Tutor hunt. Both my boys 6 & 8 really enjoy and learn lots from her lessons. She is easy to connect with and both boys feel comfortable around her and are learning lots. Their progress has been noticed by us and also by their school teacher. Thank you so much 😊;;
