Hi everyone I`m James. I have just graduated with a high 2.i in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge. I specialised in Psychology in my final year but studied lots of Chemistry and Biology modules in my first two years at the university (including Biology of Cells, Chemistry, Pathology, Physiology, and Pharmacology). I have therefore been exposed to a very high level of scientific research beyond A Level material and can use this to challenge my students.

I have been a student ambassador at Jesus College where I have helped out with three admissions cycles to the university and given countless talks in schools about applying to Oxbridge and Russell group universities. I have had close contact with the admissions department at the college and know just what it takes to successfully apply to one of the best universities in the world.

At school, I received the highest possible scholarship (John Colet scholarship) and got 12A*s at GCSE and 5A*s. I know exactly what it takes to make a success of these exams and hopefully I can help you do so also.

Currently, I am a Science Mentor at The Harlington School. Day-to-day I run small group intervention sessions for students from Year 7 to Year 13 in all areas of science. These are similar in style to my tutoring sessions and give me great experience to transfer to tutoring.

Experience: I have been a student ambassador at Jesus College, University of Cambridge. This mainly entailed going into schools around the country and giving talks and Q&As about how the Oxbridge and Russel group application process works and how to make oneself the most successful candidate possible.

In addition, I was a Teaching Assistant for a year at a local Polish Saturday School in a class of around 15 students helping with their language skills.

Moreover, this summer, I have taught an online debating course with the tutoring company `Cambridge Summer Schools in China`. This was a rewarding process carried out through online software, which I have become very accustomed to students
