Hi, I am a qualified English and Drama teacher who has been working in education for over 25 years. I tutor across Key Stage 3, GCSE and A-level English and Drama working on key skills, building confidence and nurturing the enjoyment of reading and analysing.

I know that the workload of secondary school, especially GCSEs and A-levels, can feel overwhelming and some of the texts can feel challenging. Sometimes you think you know the text really well but you seem to keep getting the same grade on your work - am I right? That`s where I come in - my role as a tutor is to listen to what you need and then help you improve those particular skills at a pace that is tailor-made for you. Whether it is helping you get your head around the plot, identifying narrative methods, exploring the context and genre or how to structure those ideas in writing I have your back and can help you develop those skills.

I tutor KS3 through to GCSE English Language and Literature students (mostly on AQA) as well as A-Level Literature (AQA, OCR and Edexcel) and A-level Drama & Theatre (AQA and Edexcel).

Availability: Mondays - Thursdays: 5.00 - 8.00

Sunday afternoons can be arranged.

Experience: - Fully trained Secondary English & Drama Teacher, with a Distinction from Liverpool Hope University.
- Over 20 years teaching experience both English and Drama (5 years teaching English as a Foreign Language)
- Past 12 years I have worked in sixth form colleges in the North West, for English, Drama and EPQ.
- 5 years online tutoring experience in both subjects, predominantly working with GCSE, Year 12 and Year 13 of both genders.
- 5 years in person tutoring experience working with KS2, GCSE and A-level students.
- I have tutored several students with differing learning requirements and have worked with them to help them build the skillset they needed.
