Information about Circe
I am an experienced Sociology teacher and AQA A level examiner who is looking for students needing help with the content of Sociology A level or GCSE or exam technique support. In 2020 I tutored 5 students with a wide range of needs from exam technique improvement for a student needing an A for her university place to a dyslexic student needing a lot of support and 4 of them did achieve an A grade and the dyslexic student got a C which was an amazing achievement in a very language based subject. Last year I tutored a student with ADHD and dyslexia and he got a grade A. I taught a student online for 2 years he got an A for the AS and got an A in his A Level last year. Therefore I believe I am very flexible and able to adapt my tutoring to whatever the student needs.
Availability: I`m not available to teach this term. I will update my availability again next term.

Experience: I have taught Sociology for 26 years at A level and Foundation level, I have also been employed by AQA for 20 years as a senior examiner so I have excellent knowledge of the exam and what skills the exam board is looking for especially in the new exam. Last year I tutored 3 students in A level Sociology, EPQ and helped with UCAS. This year I tutored 4 students online in A Level Sociology in both the AQA and EDUQAS exam boards.

My daughter achieved an A* in A level Sociology this summer. Circe proved to be an excellent tutor who built a positive rapport, delivered excellent lessons and gave thorough and detailed feedback on past exam paper work. Circe is an absolutely brilliant Sociology tutor.

I highly recommend Circe. She has tutored my daughter in Sociology A level for over a year. Circe is well organised and reliable and very approachable. Since having Circe my daughter has grown in confidence particularly with writing essays, which she really struggled with before. She has dyslexia too. Jessica enjoys Sociology and finds it interesting and this is alot to do with Circe. Circe provides follow up notes from lessons and sets essay questions to practise. Since having Circe, Jessica`s essay grades have really improved. She is predicted a B for her A level.
