Hi there!

I`m a friendly, patient and encouraging tutor and enjoy working with young people and seeing them improve in both skills and confidence. I`ve been teaching since 2011 and have taught GCSE maths since 2013. I specialise in moving students from a 3 to 4/5 grade (new D to C). I understand how maths can be a difficult subject for some but with reassurance and continual practice, I can help you to overcome any barriers you may face in terms of getting to grips with maths and numeracy.

I can tailor lessons to your particular needs. Some examples could include:
• Short term work on a specific topic
• Weekly sessions planned to cover topics which you may find difficult
• Following a set scheme of work to compliment what you are studying at school that term
• Support with homework
• Exam preparation and technique

I am available to help on any key stage 3 and key stage 4 mathematics including GCSE mathematics both foundation and higher tier. In addition, I can work with you on functional maths and adult numeracy.

As well as working in a classroom environment I have worked as a home tutor for children studying distance education. This means that I am used to working one to one, adapting pace and tone and being innovative with surroundings and materials. We also worked in an online environment which means that I can adapt to working online with you too.
