Experience: I recieved my bachelors in Psychology from the University of Warwick and have been tutoring for 6 years. Tutoring is my full time employment, and through it I have acquired multitudes of expertise in an incredible amount of subjects, exam boards (AQA, EDEXCEL, OCR...), and student learning abilities.
I mainly teach primary children English, Phonics and Maths, particularly in preparation for SATs and 11+. At the same time, I have a huge soft spot for Maths and Psychology, both of which I began tutoring to secondary level after acquiring my degree in Psychology, which involves Maths & Statistics-based modules.
I am fortunate to have worked with gifted, SEN, adult and ESL learners. I obtained my teaching skills by working in three primary schools, through research into developmental and language psychology whilst completing my degree at the University of Warwick, and most importantly... by growing up under the care of two wonderful, extremely proficient teachers themselves!
How I carry out my lessons:
I guarantee all regular students a thorough termly assessment to track their progress, send them weekly homework tasks to work on between sessions, and deliver both learners and their parents a written session review after each lesson, informing them of what took place, home tasks, and next steps. All this is in an endeavour to facilitate room for all the family to be involved in the learning process, and help them get the most out of tuition.
If you are interested in taking up lessons, do drop me a message!
