I was an impassioned student of philosophy - receiving a first class degree from Manchester and an MPhil from Cambridge in the subject - and I have carried through this enthusiasm into my teaching.

I had a very successful year teaching IB Philosophy at Sevenoaks School at both Higher and Standard Level. 15 out of the 17 students received a 7 in the paper that I taught on Descartes. I am also familiar with the A-level curriculum.

I pride myself on my ability to explain complex concepts with clarity enabling students to understand material that is less daunting than it initially appears. This imbues students with the required confidence to succeed in the subject.

I am also experienced in the practice of giving mock interviews to Oxbridge applicants for philosophy.

Availability: I am available any time until 19th September and there onwards I am available evenings and weekends.

Experience: I studied philosophy as an undergraduate at the University of Manchester receiving a 1st-class degree. I then completed a Master`s in the subject at the University of Cambridge.

Following this I immediately moved onto teaching. I taught philosophy at Sevenoaks School for a year with exceptional results.
