My name is Beatriz,

I am a native Spanish speaker who moved to London almost 6 years ago.

I am a motivated Primary teacher, working as a Numeracy Academic Mentor. I describe myself as a calm person and passionate about education, making the most of it, to ensure students thrive.

I am on top of new development theories, courses and activities. I love creating my own materials, games and lessons and modifying them for each student.

In my leisure time, I love cooking, baking, reading, sewing, enjoying nature and spending time with friends.

Availability: Monday to Friday: 4.30pm - 8.00pm

Experience: I am a Qualified Teacher, with over 3 years of experience in schools and private tutoring. I am currently working in a Primary school in Lambeth as an Academic Mentor, helping students in the class and creating 1:1 support.

I have done two years of internship in Spain, motivating, inspiring and providing students with a calm and kind example to follow, with creative and innovative lesson structures and encouraging a positive manner. I have experience working with students who had challenging behaviour, demanding a positive and motivating approach to teaching and promoting confidence in pupils. I have also worked with children who have learning difficulties like dyslexia, in which cases I created multi-sensory activities, playing word games or listening to audiobooks.

Back in Spain, I have worked as a private tutor in Maths and Spanish language, delivering personalised and individual lessons to encourage deep learning, as well as planning lessons and activities to evaluate and document students’ progress.
