"I get it now and it`s not scary, that`s because of you" Year 6 pupil, Maths.

Caring and enthusiastic, I am a fully qualified primary school teacher with 10 years experience teaching Y1-Y8 within primary schools, and more recently a Prep school and as a private tutor. I also have experience supporting adults with retaking of their maths GCSE and maths skills. As a tutor, I can provide support towards a specific goal such as exams or more generally for catching up or developing confidence.

I take a very personalised approach to learning and look at the needs, interests and wants of the individual child, supporting them to overcome barriers to their learning or extending them further.

I have successful experience of supporting pupils throughout the Primary curriculum, preparing students for SATs, and experience preparing pupils for entry into Independent Schools (11+ and Common Entrance exams).

I am also knowledgeable and experienced in meeting the needs of children with special or additional needs such as dyslexia, ADHD and Autism, as well as supporting EAL.

I am passionate about ensuring that children not only progress but enjoy their learning. As a tutor I will create fun lessons with targets personalised to your child. I will also seek to complement and extend what your child is learning at school.

Availability: I am now in a position to take on new pupils. Evenings (after 5pm) and Saturdays. I work near Shepton Mallet, so would be happy to discuss tutoring within this area during the week. Happy to travel to areas near home (e.g. Westbury, Trowbridge, Warminster, Bradford on Avon, Frome). Additional availability during the school holidays.
