Ashley

Hi everyone, my name is Ashley, and I love supporting students in Business and English subjects.

Many of the students that I have worked with usually lack confidence in the subject and need some additional support. That is why I always take the time to get to know them and create a learning environment where they feel listened to and confident enough to share their ideas.

I don`t believe in one size fits all approaches and will always tailor the classes so that the sessions are relevant, interesting, and enable the student to meet their goals.

Subjects I offer tutoring in include:

Business Studies - GCSE, A Level, Vocational Qualifications, and University Support

Using real world examples and discussions, the student explores the subject in more detail which will add greater depth to their knowledge. This will enable the student to answer questions at a higher grade level and show greater awareness of business topics when applying for university or jobs.

English - GCSE, A Level, ESL and Academic English For University

The sessions provide lots of opportunities to develop ideas and explore creativity in writing. Lots of discussions and explorations of the texts throughout the sessions so the student is able to go confidently into their exams, as well as having necessary language skills for their future careers.

For University student, I can provide support in planning essays and using academic English.

About Me

I have been teaching since 2007 and also have a confidence coaching business. My education career took me to China, Japan and Thailand. Before I started teaching, I worked in hospitality and managed several busy restaurants and bars in the UK. That and my educational background in Business Studies makes me an ideal teacher to help you with any business-orientated subjects.

I have a holistic approach to teaching and really enjoy watching my students move past their doubts and become more confident in and out of the classroom.

When I am not working, I really enjoy travelling as I like learning about history and other cultures. So far, I have visited 51 countries and I hope to visit many more in the future.

My natural inquisitiveness and enthusiasm usually translate well into my classes, enabling me to build nurturing relationships and create a fun learning environment.

I look forward to speaking with you soon.
