Information about Sarah
I am a third year King`s medical student currently with over 4 years of experience tutoring students. I specialise in Biology, Chemistry and Maths and English literature, as well as preparation for entry into medical school.
Strategy:
While I focus mainly on teaching A-level and GCSE students, I do tutor students from year 3 and above. As well as teaching subjects, I help students acquire lifelong study skills, from identifying the most efficient study methods, to planning out a weekly schedule for work and relaxation. I have seen from personal experience, as well as tutoring other students, that the most successful people are the ones who plan ahead, work `smart` (as opposed to spending long hours poring over books), and stick to their schedule. In my lessons, I make it a point to combine a comprehensive understanding of the topic at hand with a clear mindset of the individual`s `end in mind`.
Medical school preparation:
Having experienced the rigorous medical application process, and being offered a place at King`s, Bart`s and The London and St. George`s, I have accumulated a wealth of techniques, advice and information for my students. I provide tutoring not only for the UKCAT and BMAT exams but also personal statement preparation, guidance on what matters most to universities (in terms of work experience etc.) and access to all the best books, courses, question banks and websites that aided in me in securing a place for medical school. I have been to various courses for medical preparation, organised by universities such as Oxford, Imperial and UCL, and having accumulated all this information, with access to all the course notes and recommendations.
More importantly, I prepare students for medical interviews. Despite hearing people claim that one just has to wing the interview and be natural, I can guarantee you, with the assurance of every medical student, doctor and interviewer I have met, that there is a technique to succeeding in a medical interview. I have been through rigorous preparation, particularly for the medical interview stage, with countless mock interviews lead doctors at UCL, Imperial etc. Through this, I have collected a bank of questions a successful student must be able to answer, as well as techniques to answer different types of questions thrown at you.

I asked Sarah to help me with my 2018-2019 application. Sarah helped me with both my personal statement and my interviews. This was my 3rd time applying to study medicine and the first time I was able to secure 4 interviews. I genuinely believe that I could not have achieved such results without Sarah. After receiving my interviews, Sarah helped prepare me for both MMI`s and panel interviews. I ended up with 4 unconditional offers from : Newcastle University, University of Glasgow, Queen Mary University of London, and King`s College London. I cannot thank Sarah enough, and I cannot recommend her enough. Thank you so much Sarah!
