I have been teaching maths up to A Level and giving piano lessons for over 20 years. I have taught on a one to one basis at Central College Nottingham and privately. Some people find Maths can be really confusing so I try to find the way that best helps the student make sense of it. Maths doesn`t have to be boring either - it can involve a bit of laughter too and that certainly makes the lessons more fun!

I also play the piano professionally (including once live on BBC Radio 4!). Maths and music go together really well. I teach my students to read music if they need to and am happy to teach adults as well as children. I am both classically and jazz trained so can teach both.

My degree was in Engineering but I have worked mostly as a computer programmer and audio engineer.

I have been married since 1992 and we have 1 son who has just started at University studying Computer Science.

My other interests include walking and building my kit car.

I regularly go into prisons to mentor the prisoners to help them have hope for their future lives outside of prison. I`ve even run their choir!

Availability: Available most days except Sundays.
