Information about Ria
I am a fifth year medical student reading Medicine at Imperial College London. My A Level results were Biology A*, Chemistry A*, Mathematics A*, as well as an A* in my EPQ and an A in AS Level Economics. In particular, I am skilled at tutoring Chemistry up to GCSE Standard and Mathematics up to A Level Standard.
I am also able to help medical school preparation (interview prep, personal statement improvement and general advice for application - I have written a document on how to go about applying for medicine where I have also checked many pupils` personal statements). When applying for medicine, I got all 4 interviews, where I secured 3 offers at 2 BMAT universities and 1 UKCAT university for medicine. [3 interview offers received before the Christmas holidays in Year 13.]
I am an incredibly hard working and enthusiastic student where I get along with all ages and ensure to cater my teaching methods to each student to maximise understanding. I am very passionate in teaching and children`s education so I hope I can help you achieve your goals!
My grades:
GCSES: 9A*s and 1A (A*s in Maths, Triple Science, English Language, English Literature, History, Latin, Spanish and A in Drama)
A-Levels: 3A*s (Maths, Chemistry, Biology) and A* in EPQ [and A in Economics at AS Level]
Prizes:
Prize for Chemistry (prize for best Chemistry student - June 2017)
Prize for Academic Commitment in Year 13 (June 2017)
Prize for Outstanding GCSE Results (July 2016)
Willing to travel: 5 miles
Experience: I tutored in Chemistry and Mathematics at school to younger years. I have also undertaken internships at STEP maths to make videos to help medical student applicants and at Imperial College London for Early Years Medical students. My specialist interest is in preparing students for their medical application/interviews, where I have created my own written document explaining clearly how to go about applying for medicine.
I`ve been tutoring for a years into various different topics and age groups, where I aspire to constantly adapt my teaching style to cater to all students. I ensure to help them understand and learn, tailoring to their needs.

Ria was a fantastic tutor who really tapped into my daughters needs in the final 6 months of her GCSE studies in science and mathematics. It was a great concern to have a child in the final year of GCSE Study during the Pandemic home schooling period but Ria tutored my daughter with pragmatism, flexibility and a great determination that my daughter would attain the best outcome from her studies. A friendly, insightful and very friendly tutor. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend to other students and parents. Thanks Ria.
