Hi, I`m Sylvia
I am very patient and caring. I have a great rapport and am fun!
I tailor my teaching programme to an individual pupil`s needs and my lesson uses very varied approaches.
I often use multisensory methods.
I teach KS1 and KS2 English and Maths. I have many years` experience tutoring for KS1 and KS2 SATS and for spelling, punctuation and grammar. I also tutor for the 11+ entrance exam. I get really good results and have made a difference to all my pupils` learning and especially to their confidence. I love tutoring and find it extremely rewarding. It just makes me happy to see a child`s confidence and ability grow.
I have expertise in teaching dyslexic pupils.
I am also able to teach Adult Literacy and ESOL learners.
Availability: I am now available online ALL day every day except Saturday!

Sylvia , has been tutoring my two girls in yr 2 and yr 4 English and Maths since last year October 2019. I am happy with her systematic method of teaching . She is very professional , punctual, organised and most importantly she takes on board what you want for your kids and makes adjustments where need be. Even now that everyone is keeping safe at home with the ongoing pandemic she was able to come up with an online teaching method which has kept the kids going and they love it. My girls have not only become more confident in English and Maths now but also more organised. Thank you Sylvia
