I am a fully qualified teacher with a genuine passion for education. I have a full DBS on the update service. I can provide details of my DBS on request.

I worked as a science teacher in inner-city schools in Birmingham for 7 years followed by 3 years working in financial services as a consultant for large banking institutions. I have now committed to working full-time as a private tutor teaching biology, chemistry and physics. I also prepare primary aged children towards preparing for SATs and the 11 Plus tests for the prestigious King Edward`s and Queen Mary`s Grammar schools.

My main objective is to prepare students to achieve the best possible grades they are capable of.
The most important factor is to get students onside by making learning enjoyable. Students genuinely enjoy attending my lessons.

An initial assessment using methods I have developed is conducted on every student.
Students are challenged in every lesson using a wide range of engaging techniques, resources and assessments.

I provide constant feedback to students with tips on what they need to do to improve.
Regular feedback is also given to parents at the end of every lesson. I highlight what is going well and what can be done to help the student to make improvements.

Experience: 10 years of teaching experience in GCSE biology, chemistry and physics. Skilled at teaching all abilities from Foundation to Higher tiers.

Deep knowledge of the AQA, OCR and Edexcel specifications.

11 Plus content - 8 years of experience teaching all the topics required for the 11 Plus Test. I have a proven method of teaching that leads to successful results as a high percentage of my students pass the test.
