Although originally intending to pursue a career in teaching, my life took a different path into music and that is where I have been most of my life. In my career, I have traveled extensively, meeting people from many different backgrounds andI believe that this has given me valuable experience that I might not have otherwise gained. I believe in a progressive attitude towards teaching and understand that the education system can be rigid and that some children fail not because of their lack of intellect, but because the way a subject is taught does not engage or stimulate them, or fails to instil confidence in them. I believe I have the creativity and patience to make a difference in this regard.

If you choose me as your tutor, I will work hard to find a suitable path along which to guide your child in order to develop their understand and confidence. I have a track record identify areas of weakness and addressing these by creating an engaging and enjoyable educational environment. I have successfully guided children through SATS and 11+, many of whom had previously been struggling or working below the expected level in maths and/or English.

Availability: I have availability, it is currently limited, particularly after school but hopefully we can organise a suitable time. I am happy to tutor at weekends and I also do more intensive tutoring during the holidays. Please get in touch!

Experience: I have tutored around 35 children over the last six or seven years, the vast majority of whom have made significant progress and are now working above expected levels.
