I am a very approachable and supportive teacher and tutor. I have tutored RS/Philosophy at A-Level for five years. I am academic and have an expert and up to date knowledge of the subject. I am kind, patient but also clear in my communication. My students always feel comfortable and encouraged while gaining constructive clarity in our sessions. I make time to communicate with parents too, as helping parents in their support of the student is essential.

Availability: Week nights. I provide 1or 2 hour sessions. Working at an independent school, I require a degree of flexibility in that I have to plan around regular parents’ evenings and I understand that students have other commitments too. I never take on more than two students a year to ensure that I can provide regular lessons on a timetable that suits us both.

Experience: I am Head of RS at a top performing, highly competitive independent school. I am an A-Level examiner for AQA. I have tutored many students privately and they have always been very happy with my teaching. I have a Master’s degree in Education and have been teaching at some of the top performing schools in South Manchester/ Cheshire for the last 10 years. As a tutor, I aim to inspire a love of the subject as well as getting to the heart of what is required by each particular student for exam success. Every student is different and I work hard for, and commit to, my students to provide a bespoke service according to their needs.
