Hello, I have worked in education for many years, in both teaching and support roles. I have worked in mainstream and also in smaller, residential school settings for children with specific behavioural challenges. My previous experience teaching English, Maths and Drama, combined with having previously been a Learning Mentor, helps me to identify and remove barriers to learning; increasing confidence skills whilst unpicking a complicated text; this makes the lesson fun and helps the student to apply their new found knowledge of how to answer a question in order to achieve as many marks as possible. These skills ensure that the student is equipped to attain the highest grade that they possibly can at both KS2 and GCSE level. I try to make lessons fun, engaging, inspiring and easy to understand.
