I have taught Spanish and French at primary and secondary level for 12 years offering engaging and dynamic lessons to all levels.

I`ve been told that I am a positive, friendly hardworking person. I have a calm and patient nature and good sense of humour, and believe language learning should be enjoyable and interactive to make the most progress.

I studied Spanish, French and Portuguese at University and have lived in Spain and Brazil, as well as visiting relatives in France. Before becoming a teacher I used my languages in business, working for an international market research agency based in London.

I offer lessons to children and adults, beginners through to advanced. Whether it is exam preparation, grammar, conversation practise or holiday phrases, my varied experience has made me very versatile and able to adapt my teaching to suit your needs, goals and learning style.

Before starting formal lessons I would meet you to discuss your language learning goals and prior knowledge in order to personalise your sessions for maximum benefit.

I tutor the following subjects at the following levels:
Spanish- Primary, KS3, GCSE, A-Level and adult learners
French- Primary, KS3 and Adult Learners

I have a valid DBS and am full trained in Safeguarding.

Availability: Available daytime throughout the week Mon- Fri and some afterschool sessions, either in person or very local to me (Burton on the Wolds Leicestershire).

Willing to travel: 5 miles

Experience: I have a BA Spanish & Portuguese degree with French followed by a PGCE and obtained QTS so I am fully qualified to teach French and Spanish.

I have spent over 10 years teaching in many local primary, secondary & independent schools (Ratcliffe College, Loughborough Amherst School, George Spencer Academy, John Ferneley College).

I have taught all ages and abilities and have gained experience at GCSE (AQA and EDEXCEL boards) and A-level. Also, I have designed and delivered a progressive Spanish curriculum for students in Reception to Year 6, and provided PPA cover for French lessons locally.

I have lived and worked abroad, as an English Language Teaching Assistant in schools with the British Council and private English tutor in Spain, as well as having taught adults in UK language schools and private tutoring at home.
