I have two masters in Mathematics and two degrees, with over a decade of experience in tutoring and lecturing Maths. My teaching style is focused on helping my students to think deeply.
1. MSc in Mathematical Logic & The Theory of Computation (Manchester University).
2. MA in Pure Mathematics (Edinburgh University).
3. BSc Civil Engineering (Kashan).
In terms of teaching style, my focus is on students understanding the concepts and as a result, being able to do well on exams and answer both seen and “unseen” questions with confidence. I help my students build up their confidence and be able to think and solve problems independently.
I give my students problem sheets to complete every week to gain a clear understanding of their progress.
Being friendly and having a sense of humor are my characteristics.
Availability: Monday-Sunday.

Experience: At least eleven years of experience teaching Maths (& Computer Science). For example:
1. Lecturer at Chichester College, teaching Maths and A-level Computer Science.
2. Lecturer at BHASVIC College in Hove-Brighton, A-level Maths.

4. Lecturer at South Cheshire College, HNC Maths.
5. Lecturer at Calderdale College in Halifax, GCSE Maths.
6. Tutoring Further Maths for Into Manchester College through Morgan Hunt (NCUK).
7. I also tutor Linear Algebra.
8. Many online tutoring, GCSE and A-level Computer Science (Python only) and Maths.

Excellent tutor. Afshin stepped in at a crucial time after my son had taken some time out from Oxford University where he is studying mathematics which is way above my understanding. Afshin has given him back the mode of thinking that he needs to return to the course. My only regret is that we didn`t find him earlier, but he is definitely a gem. I was unsure that I would be able to find a tutor at degree level but I did and I am so grateful. His approach is very grounded and my son is very happy

I have been being tutored by Afshin for over a month now and he has been really helpful in making everything seem really simple and easy to understand so that I feel more confident when answering mathematical questions.
