Information about Sharon
I am completely full at present. Apologies that I am unable to help at this time.
Having taken a break from tutoring to complete further study, I am now accepting new tutees.
I am an experienced primary school teacher rated outstanding for the quality of my teaching. I`m also mum to my 8 year old son, Zach and 5 year old Barnaby. I live with my husband, our children and Hugo the dog. We love being outdoors exploring as well as spending time with family and friends.
I`ve taught from reception to year 6 and supported children to succeed at ks1 and ks2 sats as well as the year 1 phonics screening. I am passionate about making learning fun, engaging and tailored to the learner while making sure children feel confident and excited about doing well.
Having recently completed training with the University of Hertfordshire, I am now a qualified Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo). I am therefore experienced and qualified to adapt teaching to meet children`s individual learning requirements.
Availability: Availability is very flexible around school hours. I can offer face to face Tutoring or online tuition via zoom with an interactive whiteboard allowing both myself and my students to annotate as we learn. It a very effective system.
For travel to you, my maximum distance is 5 miles from Baldock where I live but I can tutor on zoom to anyone around the country.
Willing to travel: 8 miles
Experience: Reception, ks1 and ks2 trained and experienced.

Feedback For Sharon (9)

Sharon has been amazing with our 6 year old. In just three sessions we have seen her confidence grow & her school have notice the same too. Sharon is so kind, compassionate and fun, its amazing that her & our LO have built such a lovely relationship in such a short space of time, our LO really looks forward to her sessions each week. Sharon is filling in the gaps where needed and also working along side and reinforcing what school is teaching too. Our little one has always loved maths and now she loves it even more as she has a new understanding of it and, because Sharon is so approachable, shes not worried about asking Sharon to explain things to her.

Sharon has been tutoring maths to my 10 year old son for over a month now and in that time I have seen not only a growing confidence in his ability but also a real enthusiasm for this subject. He finishes every lesson with a smile on his face and his comment maths is fun is testament to Sharons ability to engage and build confidence.
