Information about Luke
Hey! I’m Luke, a dedicated science tutor and doctor. I didn’t find A levels easy when I was at school, but through hard work, persistence and learning to understand exactly what exam boards are looking for, I was able to significantly improve my grades. This ultimately helped me secure a place on the highly competitive Graduate Course in Medicine at the University of Cambridge, from which I have now graduated.
Before studying medicine, I graduated from the University of Oxford with a Master’s degree in Immunology. I now work as a doctor, and I attribute much of my academic success to hard work, focused thinking and developing effective exam technique. Having experienced the challenge of improving my own grades, I understand how much of a difference the right approach and support can make.
I have taught students both in person and online throughout my academic and medical career. I tailor each session to the individual student’s needs, focusing not only on subject knowledge but also on exam technique, confidence and understanding what is required to achieve the highest possible marks.
I am very proud of all the students I have taught with many going on to achieve their aspirations of studying at universities such as Oxford and Cambridge or for competitive courses such as medicine. Some of my most recent students have also been successful in obtaining places in the US at world class institutes such as Stanford University.
Whatever your goal I promise to help you work toward it by making the science fun and interactive wherever possible.

I am very happy with the progress I have made so far with my medical school application from the the help and advice I have learnt from Luke. I understand better what the universities expect from me, what exams are required and how to approach revision for these entrance exams. Thank you very much for breaking down each section of the UCAT into manageable chunks that I can strive to achieve.
