Online availability for Summer 2020 - let’s catch up the summer term work so you can start strong in September!

Need help with exams or want to gain some confidence with your maths?

I am a fully qualified and experienced teacher of maths, currently Head of Mathematics in a private school. I am very good at explaining anything to anyone, taking care to find another way to approach some maths if you don`t understand the first method we talk through or that you were taught in class. I never run out of patience and I enjoy working with all types of students, from those aiming for an A* to those currently failing (I say currently as we can soon sort that out!), the very confident to the very unsure, the dedicated and hardwork to those who struggle to focus and can’t quite get motivated by themselves.

Availability: I am available daytime and evenings through summer 2020 then evenings and weekends when school term begins. I am currently doing online tutoring only until it is safe to do face to face tutoring.

Willing to travel: 5 miles

Experience: 8 years as a teacher and 12 years as a private tutor.

I currently tutor KS3, 13+, GCSE, FSMQ and A level Maths and Further Maths, both boys and girls, from someone needing an A in Further Maths A level to someone in set 4 out of 5. My best result so far was a GCSE student whose parents hired me in a panic 2 weeks before her exams because she was getting D`s and needed a C... she ended up with a B and we only did 6 hours of tuition!

My school went fully online from 23rd March so I am well practiced in teaching online by now. We can use technology fluently and efficiently to work together on maths questions.
