As someone who was lucky enough to have begun my study of Greek and Latin at school, I feel passionate about fostering the interest of students in Classical subjects whatever their background may be, to help them develop the invaluable skills engendered by the study of Classics.

Experience: I have a wealth of experience having taught Latin and Greek language and literature as well as Classical civilization more widely in since 2008. My teaching experience ranges from teaching KS3 (year 8/9) to postgraduate students. I currently teach Classics subjects at an independent selective day school, including OCR GCSE and A-Level courses, so have an excellent understanding of what these require.

I have also previously taught Latin and Greek language and literature as a University lecturer at the Universities of Cambridge and Manchester and King`s College London. Prior to this I completed my PhD on Latin and Greek epic at the University of Nottingham.

With a range of experience and a genuine enthusiasm for Classics, I am well placed to offer tuition to both children and adults at various stages in their learning about the Classical world, its cultures and languages.
