I am a degree and diploma holder, with a qualification of CACHE Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools as well as possess Special Educational Needs certification for learning support for children/adults with Special Educational Needs. Every Term break I keep updating my knowledge by doing CPD (continuous professional development) courses.

I had worked through agencies in different schools as a Teaching Assistant, which gives me up-to-date knowledge of the school curriculum. Currently, I am working in a college supporting learners with GCSE Maths.

I am an enthusiastic Maths & English tutor as well as a Teaching Assistant working in a college, with GCSE Maths and English being my specialty. For CSE, as per the new curriculum, I cover foundation as well as higher Maths. I offer tuition in small relaxed groups of up to 3 at a time. It ensures that every learner gets my close attention and is challenged appropriately. I prefer to work with the knowledge students already possess and build from there: expect learning targets, per-test, progress tests, and honest reports on strengths and weaknesses - very calm, patient, and supportive with lessons.

I have a comprehensive understanding of the requirements of the course. I can explain ideas simply and concisely. Through structured lessons and the course, confidence is built and helps learners feel positive about their GCSE exam experience. Covering the key areas that student struggles in and working with the resources like past papers and mocks can help my learners to achieve the targeted grades. Mocks are done on a regular basis.

Availability: I am available Monday to Friday from 5 pm onward.

I prefer taking tuition at my home.

Experience: Over 6 years experience in tuition in teaching Maths & English for KS3 & GCSE. I have helped students of all abilities, at all levels & varying backgrounds. I also work as Learning Support Assistant in a college for Maths.
