I am an engineering graduate from the University of Oxford. I graduated with a first, and came sixth in my cohort in my final exams. I got into a highly competitive grammar secondary school, achieving 10 A*s and 1 A at GCSE alongside extra maths modules. I also got 44 points out of 45 points for my International Baccalaurate, where I took Physics HL, Maths HL and Vis. Arts HL for IB.

I specialise in admissions advice (including personal statements and admissions test preparation) and exam preparation, but will always tailor each session for each student and am ready to take on new challenges. Let me know how I can help your specific needs!

I am incredibly focused on developing independent learning and problem solving - it is important to me that the student acquires the answer to the problem themselves under my careful guidance. It is not enough to be able to formulaically answer exam questions; the student must understand the theories and concepts behind the material. My sessions are tailored to each student in developing their critical thinking which should also be transferable to their other schoolwork. Fully developed visual aids and quality revision questions prepared beforehand are provided, which have been developed alongside the curriculum, alongside set past paper questions from various sources.

Availability: I am currently only available for remote sessions, but will be able to give in-person sessions later in this year. Please get in touch if you`re interested as I`m sure we an come to an agreement! I am also available for one-off remote sessions for admissions advice or concerns about course/university selection, drawing from my experience in both Oxford and engineering.

Experience: I have tutored previously for GCSE and A Level maths. I have also tutored for Oxbridge preparation and the university application process, including personal statement writing and admissions test preparation, at an academic Oxford summer school, so am comfortable with giving advice for Oxbridge application. Having recently applied for both US universities and UK universities, as well as relatively recently passed my GCSEs and IB, I am very familiar with the new GCSE and A-Level syllabus.
