Information about Malcolm

I have recently retired from teaching at Sir Henry Floyd Grammar School in Aylesbury. I have taught for 15 years, having previously worked in distribution management and banking. In my teaching of Business (and Politics) I bring a wealth of real life experience to add to the purely academic. My aim is to generate an enthusiasm for current developments in the business and political world. From this I focus on developing analytical and evaluative writing skills to help enhance essay writing and exam technique. My students are used to attaining the highest grades at both GCSE and A level.

Willing to travel: 15 miles

Experience: I have 15 years secondary school teaching experience - A-level Business (AQA and OCR boards), GCSE Business (OCR), A-level Politics (AQA), KS3 History. I am an OCR trained examiner (GCSE), an AQA trained EPQ supervisor.
I have 2 years experience as a tutor to a student with ASD, as preparation for GCSE History. I have much successful experience teaching students with ASD and other learning difficulties.

My daughter only had a couple of lessons with Malcolm as she was seeing which tutor was the best fit for her learning style. On the first session I was not happy to have been charged the full hourly rate when all he did was a getting to know you session and when I queried this with him, he explained that TutorHunt took a big chunk of the hourly rate. Malcolm himself was polite and nice, but my daughter preferred a different tutor, so we based our decision on this factor.
