Information about Sophie

I`m Sophie, a first year student studying Economics at UCL. This is a highly mathematical course, so I am constantly practising techniques that I acquired at school, as well as more advanced methods. I can help with methods on how to tackle specific questions, as well as understanding of the content itself.

I completed my A-Levels in 2020, so I have recent experience with the current A-Level papers and question style. My main areas of interest are Mathematics and Economics, which are both integral to my degree. More specifically, I chose both statistics papers as part of my Further Maths options.

Additionally, I take a level 6 French module as part of my degree and therefore I am studying all the subjects I tutor at university standard. I am a competent French speaker and will be able to help with both grammar/written work, as well as speaking practice to improve fluency.

I achieved 13A* at GCSE and am an extremely contentious and determined student. I would love to help you improve not only your grades, but also your wider knowledge and understanding of the subject itself.

Availability: I am very flexible, let me know and we can sort out a time that works for you :)

Willing to travel: 1 miles

Experience: I did A-level Economics, Maths, Further Maths and French and have previously tutored GCSE maths. I helped 3 students improve their grades by at least 2 grade descri ptors.

Additionally, I was selected as Economics prefect at my sixth form as this is my main area of interest. I was part of setting up a Model United Nations club so I am very knowledgeable on current affairs and real world examples which can be cited to attain the top marks at A-Level Economics.

I went to school in France during year 9, the year before my GCSEs, and then completed my French GCSE at the end of year 9. I am a very competent French speaker, and volunteered as a French language assistant at my school.
