Hi my name is Tameka and I have over 12 years of experiences teaching mathematics in three countries using three different curricula.

My goal as a teacher is to facilitate students understanding of fundamental concepts in Mathematics and inculcate socially acceptable principles which will enrich their lives. My desire is to be an integral part of a forward-thinking team that is focused on student centered learning and creating a student friendly and collaborative learning culture. I am an innovative educator with an investigative approach to teaching and learning. I believe in fostering mutual respect among all members of the school community and developing their appreciation of self and others. As a lifelong learner, I continually research best practices, and updated knowledge in education, and share my findings with my colleagues. Being that I am a reflective practitioner, I am always willing to accept constructive feedback and guidance. Continuous professional development is essential to professional growth, as such I value such opportunities.
