Having played the bagpipes since the age of 10 I am highly proficient piper. I now play regularly at burns suppers, weddings and funerals. I have played in major UK theatre shows with the National Theatre of Scotland and the Thursford Christmas Spectacular and solo in front of 80,000 people at the Millenium Stadium in Cardiff.
In 2019 I premiered my Theatre play about the great piping innovator Gordon Duncan at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival winning multiple awards.
In my band playing days I won several World Championships at Novice Juvenile and Juvenile Grades and played several years as a Grade 1 piper before studying music theory at Napier University in Edinburgh.

Availability: I have good availability during the week and can be flexible.

Experience: I am currently teaching bagpipes at the prestigious Cothill School for boys in Oxfordshire where my pupils range from 9 years to 12 years old.

As an actor and director I regularly perform in family shows which require regular CRB/DBS check ups. As part of these performances I often run workshops and theatre classes teaching drama, singing and music skills to young people.

I have taught bagpipes to various adults and children of all capabilities.

I believe in a safe environment in learning but also a fun one where goals are set and achieved.
I also believe in hard work and commitment for anyone wishing to learn a skill, especially a musical skill.
