Information about Andrew
Making maths fun, relevant and useful. I quickly find and fill the gaps that underpin further learning. I work through the common misconceptions that often make students confused and overwhelmed. I adapt to the learners needs.
I support and direct learners towards the best resources to help them achieve their goals. My coaching style sets learners up for long term success.
Whatever stage you are at now I am sure I can help you overcome difficulties and secure your understanding. I will help you make rapid progress, boost your confidence and empower you to achieve your potential.
I am in my early 30s. I am happily married and we have 3 children. I enjoy being outdoors, singing, playing the piano and guitar and best of all I love teaching.
Availability: Weekday afternoons and evenings, Tuesday and Thursday mornings.
Willing to travel: Home Only
Experience: I qualified as a Maths Teacher in 2008. I have enjoyed teaching a wide range of abilities and ages from Year 5 to Year 13 (Key Stage 2 up to GCSE and A level). I currently teach at Richard Huish College. Here I teach post 16 maths, including GCSE resits and functional skills. My private tuition is also very successful. If you are seeking to boost confidence, achieve targets or to gain a scholarship, I am sure I can help.
