Information about Karen
Hello,
Thank you for taking the time to read my profile.
Working with children and helping them feel more confident during lessons is really important for me as a teacher. Every child learns at a different pace and as teachers it is really important that we acknowledge this and that we are truly understanding in order to help them progress with their learning.
This is why as a teacher I put my childrens needs first. Moreover, I am patient, approachable and I adapt my lessons easily to best suit my learners. I love to be creative when teaching and I ensure progress is made by knowing my pupils right from the beginning.
I follow the National Curriculum to help plan my lessons and to gage where your child should be. I also believe in transparency and working together as a team in order to help all pupils succeed.
Availability: I am mostly available on the weekends, however I can offer weekday availability too.
Please feel free to contact me for tutoring during the school holidays.
Willing to travel: 15 miles
Experience: I am a fully qualified teacher (PGCE and QTS) and I am currently working in Key Stage 2. I have previous experience working in Key Stage 1 too. I have prepared children for Phonics Screening tests, Year 2 SATS, Year 4 MTC and Year 6 SATS.
