Teaching career spanning over 25 years in state sector and independent senior schools, plus university lecturing experience (Business Economics). Enjoy tutoring to help students reach their full potential by focusing on mastering exam techniques, difficult topics and how to meet assessment objectives in all types of questions for GCSE, A Level and university foundation level for Economics and Business Studies. My doctoral research focused on teaching and learning in Economics and Business Studies, and strategies to achieve top grades.
I charge £40 per hour.
Availability: Generally have slots, day-time and evening, throughout the week.

Experience: Head of Economics and Business Studies at 2 different schools, and head of Economics and Politics at another, plus lectured Economics and Business at two universities and won several awards for top A-level results, nationally.
25+ years teaching experience and published economist - currently writing for several A-Level Economics and Business publications, including Economics Today, EBEA journal, Business Review and Economic Review. In addition I am a reviewer for CGP`s resources.
15+ years examining experience in Economics and Business Studies across all three major boards, including that at a senior level. Currently examining A-Level Economics for UK and International students, and A-Level Business.
Worked in The City, before starting teaching career.

David has been a great tutor for my son, who is doing Economics and Business Studies A levels, having not done those subjects at GCSE. He explains clearly and gives practical examples that help in exams. My son’s predictions have gone up several grades since the tutoring started.
