I am a native EFL teacher with a wealth of experience behind me. I have a B.Ed Hons degree in English and Drama and CELTA (Certificate of English Language Teaching to Adults). I teach not only General English but prepare students for all levels of the Cambridge ESOL examinations, including FCE, CAE, CPE and IELTS. I am dependable, patient and dedicated to my work, ensuring that I fulfil the needs of each individual student. I have great enthusiasm for teaching and have an excellent rapport with all my students, both children and adults, motivating them to achieve what they strive for.

Availability: Weekdays, preferably from 3 pm onwards, but will take on morning lessons too. Weekends, preferably mornings

Experience: I worked as an EFL teacher at an English Language School in Athens, Greece, for 3 years, teaching General English and exam level classes. Following this I set up my own English Language Institute, which had a constant flow of approximately 180 students, whose ages ranged from 6-25. I ran this business for 23 years. I was responsible for the management of the school, recruitment of staff, and planning of courses. I also played an active role as an English teacher. As well as focusing on the development of general English language skills, we prepared students for TOEFL, the University of Michigan Exams - ECCE, ALCE, ECPE - all levels of the Cambridge ESOL examinations – Young Learners Tests (the institute was an examination centre for YLT), CEFR levels A2-C2, including IELTS.
I have worked as an examiner for ESB (English Speaking Board) and as an EFL teacher of General English and IELTS at [contact detail removed], QA Business School in London. I am also a tutor in English Key Stages 1-3. I have taught English for the last few years on a one-to-one basis. I help students/adults to acquire/improve general English language skills. I work with children of Primary School level and High School students, university undergraduates and post-graduates. I prepare learners for the Trinity College English Language Tests (all levels) and Cambridge ESOL examinations (CEFR levels YLT-C2), including IELTS. I proof-read dissertations written in English at Master’s level (for students who are non-native English speakers)
