Information about Ahmed

Hello :)
My name is Ahmed. I am a mechanical Engineering graduate from Imperial College London (ranked the #1 university in UK for its mechanical engineering undergraduate course)

I am very passionate about education and I love it when I help my students understand a topic or concept that they have been struggling with (I can literally see the light bulb in their minds energise!).
I try my best to relate to my students and empathise with them so that I can bring them along the journey of understanding. My diverse and multicultural background, as well as my many travels, has provided me with the skill set to do this.

I first started `helping` friends at school with topics and subjects they didn`t understand but later formalised this in my 3rd and 4th years of University when my department chose me and a few other students to help teach and mentor 1st and 2nd year students who were struggling. I now tutor online as a full-time occupation and take advantage of the available technology such as pen-tablets and teaching platforms.

I believe that, in order to excel in ones studies a student must focus on two main things:
1) Understanding - This is where I help the student step-by-step, using the knowledge and experience I gained at Imperial College London, to strengthen their foundation and to push their limits of understanding.
2) Practice - After many years of studying and taking exams I know that a good timetable/schedule and plenty of exam practice is paramount to success. Having planned for myself, I can now do this for students who want to achieve their potential.

To end with a quote that I like.
";I never teach my pupils. I only attempt to provide the conditions in which they can learn. and this I will try to do to the best of my ability"; - A. Einstein

Availability: I am a full-time tutor and am available to teach during most hours on weekdays and a few hours on weekends.

Willing to travel: Home Only

Experience: - Currently tutoring students Math, Physics and English language on other online tutoring platforms
- Physics, Math and python programming teacher during an 8-week summer intensive program at KAUST university (SRSI program)
- Taught and mentored 1st and 2nd year Mechanical Engineering students at Imperial College London.
- Taught English to rural kids in Borneo on a 5 week project for RED (Rural Education Borneo)
- Choreographed and taught (alongside 4 others) a traditional dance to 70 university students
