I am an experienced Chemistry teacher for a large local school and spent 7 years as head of chemistry. I have a passion for the sciences (especially chemistry) and I pride myself on a personable, tailored approach to tutoring, I do especially well with students who have low confidence.
Availability: Due to work commitments I am unable to travel to student`s homes. As an employed teacher I have full DBS clearance and I will use up-to-date pedagogical practices with your child to maximise their improvement.

Experience: I am a Fully qualified teacher who has been teaching secondary science and A-level chemistry for 13 years, recent results for my classes include an ALPS grade 2 for GCSE Chemistry (top 10% nationally) and an ALPs grade 3 for A2 Chemistry.

Simon has tutored my son in physics, biology, and chemistry at GCSE level. He was fantastic. We saw a huge improvement over a short period of time in our son’s knowledge, but also in his confidence and motivation to engage with the subjects. Simon is very personable and professional and gave us clear and honest feedback throughout. Would absolutely recommend him to anyone who‘s considering tuition.

Simon is very helpful and knowledgeable. He is great at explaining the syllabus and knows exactly what the examiner is looking for. He has undoubtedly boosted my daughters confidence.

Simon is great at explaining things and he takes time in making sure you understand the core concepts. I like his teaching style and he is always on time.
