I began teaching History 8 years ago after graduating with BA (Hons) degree in History from Manchester University. I currently work as a Head of History at a leading Comprehensive school in London. As a tutor, my aim is to increase students understanding of the subject, and to develop their exam technique. I also provide support and direction for coursework studies. My specialism is in Edexcel/ AQA History.

Availability: I am available weekdays in the evenings. Also Saturday Sunday Mornings.

Experience: I have been a History teacher for the past eight years, including the last two years as Head of History at a London comprehensive school, which was rated Outstanding by Ofsted in 2023.

In this role, I have led curriculum development and strategic planning to drive the department’s success. As a result, our students have consistently achieved GCSE and A-Level results that rank among the top 10% of schools nationwide.

I have extensive experience teaching the Edexcel GCSE History course, where I have successfully raised student attainment and fostered a deep understanding of historical themes.

At A-Level, I specialise in delivering the AQA syllabus, guiding students through challenging topics and Non-Exam Assessments (NEAs) with a focus on critical thinking, research skills, and exam readiness.

My expertise spans both curriculum design and personalised learning strategies, ensuring that each student is supported to reach their full potential.
