Information about Oluwatosin
Hi, I`m Tosin, a part-time private tutor, and I am a penultimate Mathematics and Economics student at the University of Nottingham. I have been tutoring for 4 years and have tutored GCSE and A Level Mathematics
Availability: I am available in the afternoon and evening.
Willing to travel: Home Only
Experience: Since 2017, I have worked with a variety of students with different abilities, helping them achieve their target grades. I have experience working in groups of 2 and one-on-one.
My approach to tutoring Maths involves initially assessing the students ability and creating a plan specifically catering for their needs. I also believe it is important to encourage students to ask questions or ask for clarifications as this helps reinforce their learning. Lastly, I believe in working efficiently as time during tutoring session is limited. To ensure sessions are efficient, I employ the following:
- Working in accordance to the students exam board specification. This ensures a there are no gaps in their knowledge.
- Problem Solving : students will experience long term success if they know the best way to approach any question given to them, even if they have never seen a similar question before.
- Exam Practice ( Exam Papers, Question by Topic)
- Homework
- Consistent Feedback: This helps highlight students strengths and weaknesses, allowing them to know where to delegate their time outside lessons.
