I am an experienced teacher of Economics, Business and Travel and Tourism. I am offering tutoring for GCSE, A-level and BTEC qualifications.
Availability: I am currently have some availability on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. I also have availability during free periods on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Experience: I have been a teacher for over 25 years and have delivered a wide range of qualifications in the Business/Economics/Travel sectors. I am also an examiner for both Economics and Business and am a coursework moderator for BTEC Business and Travel and Tourism.

Claire worked with my son when his grades started falling despite being predicted an A. He was getting D’s in the mocks and was getting very frustrated. After a steady schedule with Claire right up to the exams his confidence was back and he got an A* in his A level economics

My son has only had a few lessons with Claire so far but has really enjoyed them and he`s confidence in A-level economics has grown. My son will definitely be continuing with Claire

My daughter was feeling quite overwhelmed with her A-level Economics syllabus and found it difficult to get the hang of such an essay heavy subject. However, upon starting tutoring with Claire, she almost immediately noticed an improvement in her confidence, clarity in her essays and an overall deeper understanding of what the examiners required from student responses. She found the fact that Claire is an examiner helpful, especially when reading over her essays in lesson and giving her detailed feedback. My daughter found Claire`s teaching style quite flexible - she would easily switch between teaching content, planning and marking essays and bringing in real-world context to strengthen her responses. This made it a lot easier when she did timed practice on her own as she found it a lot more effortless when planning and writing longer-answered responses. Overall, this meant she could more confidently manage her time when sitting her A-level exams.
