I am a qualified music teacher and can offer piano and music theory tuition. I have taught adults as well as young students and have plenty of patience to help and encourage progress whether you’re just beginning or want to advance your skills. I aim to tailor my teaching to your needs from basic reading of notation, understanding harmony and chords, to improving fingering technique.

Availability: Daytime preferably, or early evening.

Experience: I have been a musician all of my life. I joined the army at a young age to develop my playing and performing skills and enjoyed thirteen years service which included one year at the Royal School of Music Kneller Hall.
I graduated from Southampton University with a degree in music and completed my PGCE at Reading University and awarded Qualified Teacher Status.
I have taught at secondary school for the last eighteen years but retired in 2018. I now use my experience and knowledge to teach piano/keyboards and music theory through giving private lessons.
I am what I like to call semi-retired as I love music and still enjoy teaching and playing piano but limit myself to a small number of enthusiastic students.
